DEVIZES TO WESTMINSTER CANOE RACE 2024

29TH MARCH – 1ST APRIL 2024

Are you considering taking part in the Devizes to Westminster International Canoe race next year? The race is an ultra marathon that takes place every Easter weekend and is the longest non-stop canoe race in the world.

Starting in Devizes, the race travels down the Kennet and Avon Canal until it joins the River Thames at Reading, then follows the River Thames to Westminster in the heart of London. The race is 125 miles long and includes numerous locks, so as well as arduous paddling, there is a considerable amount of running involved too.

Devizes Canoe Club will be holding a friendly, informal evening on Friday 23rd June, giving information on the race and the club’s six month training programme and explaining how we can help people go from being non-paddlers to walking up the steps at Westminster.

If you are interested in finding out more, please come along to Devizes Canoe Club, Lower Wharf, Devizes, SN10 1JP on 23rd June at 7pm. There is no parking at the club. Please use the on road parking nearby or a public car park and walk down to the club.

Further information about the race can be found at www.dwrace.co.uk or email shop@devizescanoeclub.co.uk
