Champion Club Achievement

which recognises the achievements of Club volunteers and paddlers. Devizes CC was awarded British Canoeing’s Champion Club – Talent Development award by BC’s Dee Patterson.  This programme is one of four club accreditation programmes that British Canoeing is delivering to support clubs to develop and improve in specific areas.

The Talent Club Champion programme joins #ShePaddles, Junior Club Development and Clear Access Clear Waters (CACW) in the Champion Club accreditations available for clubs to complete and obtain.

The Talent Club Champion programme is available to any British Canoeing affiliated club in England and has been designed to help clubs in developing their provision for talented members. It includes a detailed diagnostic tool which helps create a bespoke action plan for the club can use to provide the best support to talented members.

The Talent Club Champion award is national recognition of the long-term efforts made by dedicated volunteers, parents, and paddlers at Devizes Canoe Club to develop our most talented athletes able to compete with the best in UK. Since formation in 2009 our club has developed to the point that we are producing national champions in the flatwater racing disciplines of sprint and marathon.”
